Travel Writer
Writer's profile – Rosanne Turner I live in Hermanus, on the Cape Whale Coast of South Africa, famous for its land-based whale watching. I have been involved in the tourism industry for ten years, and co-own several accommodation establishments. (see these on accommodation page)A few
years ago, I rekindled a childhood passion for writing, and combined this passion with my love of travelling, to create travel articles for websites and tourism publications including the Holland Herald (in flight mag of KLM), Explore SA, GoTravel24, Hamba Kahle, Experience Overberg, Morning Calm (in flight mag of Air Korea), Smart Holidays, and Travel Intelligence.
I have not let my atrocious sense of direction deter me from travelling the world. My journeys have taken me through Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, (including Madagascar, Zanzibar, Tanzania and the Transkei) and to the Far East (including China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand). I
prefer to see the lighter side of life when travelling, viewing things from a different angle. This is depicted in my articles which often have a tongue-in-cheek approach.
Life is not a journey to the grave, with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming 'WOW! what a ride!' Anonymous Memberships: SAFREA (South African Freelancers' Association)
